New Sunward wheeled excavator set to make its European debut

Sunward Europe is set to unveil a new 15-tonne wheeled excavator at the upcoming MATEXPO exhibition (September 6-10) near their European headquarters.

The SWE 155FW features a two-piece boom and an operating weight that ranges from 14,700 kg (blade) to 15,400 kg (blade and rear stabilizers).

Sunward Europe says that the machine comes with equipped with a Cummins engine featuring a two-stage filtration system, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

With 620Nm of engine torque, operators can use five programmable attachment work modes to seamlessly adapt to various work environments, enjoying swift acceleration while saving precious fuel.

With hydraulic system pressures reaching 31.4/34.3 MPa, the SWE 155FW  meets the demands of various tasks, elevating mining efficiency to new heights, whether it is excavating, lifting or maneuvering. The SWE 155FW also features an oil tank with a  volume of 185L.

Sunward Europe claims that the SWE 155FW’s core structural components, including the boom, arm, and chassis, are highly durable due to an increase in sheet material thickness. This makes them resistant to distortions even under extreme pressures. All supporting elements are made with high-strength, high-ductility structural steel, resulting in components with exceptional wear resistance and structural strength.

The SWE 155FW’s hyperbolic bucket type features a design that significantly reduces resistance. This enables swift soil-to-rock transitions, boosting digging and loading efficiency while reducing overall fuel consumption.

Sunward Europe product manager Hans Driesen said, “As we embarked on this journey through its remarkable features, we discovered a machine that redefines the industry’s standards in more ways than one. From its awe-inspiring design, combining strength with agility, to its robust performance and eco-friendly credentials, the SWE 155FW leaves an indelible mark”.
