Bauer’s RTG RG 16 and RTG RG 25 piling rigs are being used in a flood defence project in Germany.

Bauer's RTG RG 16 and RTG RG 25 piling rigs are being used to construct 50000 m² of static cut-off wall using the mixed-in-place method for reinforcement work on the Iller dike in Germany.

As part of the process the subgrade is being mixed into a soil-cement mortar and sealed by the addition of self-setting suspension.

The last two of a total of six construction phases, which will prevent the spa town of Fischen from flooding, are currently underway.

Part of the project involves drilling through the existing Iller dams which have very high rock content and solid blocks according to Bauer.

The importance of effective dike sealing is already known first hand by Bauer's subsidiary, MAT Mischanlagentechnik, based a few kilometres along the river, when its 11000 m² factory was flooded by 1,2 m of water and had to be shut down for several months.
