Construction up +2,1%

Eurostat reports that construction output inthe EU was up +2,1% at the end of July, compared to a year previously. Growth in the Euro zone was put at +2,6%, slightly better than the EU as a whole. Most EU markets saw their construction markets rise sharply compared to a year ago, although there was a steep fall in Hungary. The strongest growth was seen in Poland, Hungary and Slovenia.
