Economical hybrid crushers ‘on the advance’

For almost 40 years, the Austrian manufacturer SBM Mineral Processing has relied on diesel-electric drives, offering all-electric plug-in hybrid drive for track-mounted jaw and impact crushers from under 30 to around 150 t operating weight.

At Hillhead 2022 (21 to 23 June, stand Z7), it will be focusing on the popular 40 t class, including the compact Jawmax 400 with a maximum operating weight of 37 t.

Its 1,100 x 700 mm (43 x 27 in) jaw crusher produces up to 400 t/hr, which the company says is a flexible and highly economical solution even for short-term operations in recycling or quarrying.

SBM says all Jawmax and Remax models are designed to be the forefront of their respective machine classes in terms of crusher size and production capacity, with low fuel consumption in diesel-electric operation and the simple use of existing mains power for maximum savings.

At the show, SBM will also provide information on its short-term plans in the UK markets and across Europe, which include further expansion of nationwide sales and service.

SBM was founded 70 years ago and employs around 160 people.
