Smart Rental theme for rescheduled ERA Convention

By Belinda Smart28 April 2021

The ERA Convention will take place as a physical event at the Postillion Hotel in Amsterdam from 29 to 30 September, with the European Rental Awards Ceremony at the same venue on the evening of 29 September.

The Convention’s theme this year will be ‘Smart Rental’, focusing on how rental companies are using digitalisation and data.

The event will also provide a platform to showcase ERA’s key deliverables on digitalisation and sustainability.

Releasing details on the re-scheduled events today, ERA said the Convention and Awards will “bring the European rental industry together in September for the first time in over two years following the cancellation of last year’s event due to the Covid-19 pandemic.”

ERA Secretary General, Michel Petitjean, underlined the importance for the rental industry to meet physically after a challenging time during the pandemic and more than two since the last gathering in Madrid in 2019.

“The ERA Convention and European Rental Awards are a great occasion to learn from each other and celebrate the great work that we are doing as an industry, and we look forward to bringing together leading figures from the European rental industry.”

Announced mid-April, the shortlist for this year’s European Rental Awards can be found in IRN’s recent coverage.

This year’s Convention was originally scheduled to take place on 16 and 17 June and postponed to enable a physical meeting.

The full programme and more information about the ERA Convention are available here.

Registrations for the ERA Convention and European Rental Awards ceremony will be open soon. Registrations from the 2020 Convention remain valid.
