Small wonder

20 March 2008

Schwanewede-Based landscaping company Kusserov has used a 6 tonne JCB 8060 to transform a plot of land in Bremen, German into a nature reserve.

Working between the Lesumdeich Dyke and River Weser, the 8060 dug out a densely silted pond and strengthen its bank by driving posts into the ground, which were then reinforced using trellis mats.

Given the cramped nature of the site the 8060's reduced tailswing and a boom capable of swinging 70° left and 50° right proved ideal. Despite its compact design, the 8060 boasts a dig depth of 6,1 m and a bucket tear-out force of 47,9 kN.
