Sealing the deal

27 February 2008

Completion of doosan infracore's € 3,5 billion (US$ 4,9 billion) acquisition of Ingersoll Rand's construction equipment businesses, is scheduled for 1 November 2007. The acquisition includes Ingersoll Rand's attachment business Montabert as well as, the world's largest manufacturer of compact equipment, Bobcat. The deal is the biggest ever overseas acquisition by a South Korean company, and is also the largest ever acquisition in the construction equipment sector. Doosan will continue to run its existing businesses and the Ingersoll Rand businesses separately following the acquisition, which includes maintaining separate dealer networks.
