Hochtief in German high-rise contract

20 September 2016

German-based contractor Hochtief has signed a €138 million contract to build a multi-purpose high-rise building in Frankfurt, Germany, named the Marienturm.

The 41-storey, 155 m high office tower will include a restaurant, café, gym, children’s day care centre and conference space. The gross floor area will cover some 70,000m².

Hochtief said the Marienturm would add a “further striking element” to the downtown Frankfurt skyline, which already includes several high-rise buildings.

The project is expected to be completed at the end of 2018.

Holger Neumann, head of the Hochtief Building Frankfurt branch, said, “We are delighted to have won the contract to plan and construct the Marienturm.

“Hochtief has once again lived up to its reputation as a high-rise specialist.”
