Polish factory for Lafarge

12 July 2013

Lafarge has started up a concrete plant in Gorzow Wielkopolski, Poland, according to market research and consulting company PMR.

The facility was erected on the site of a now defunct plant and is much larger than its predecessor. It is said to be one of the most advanced concrete batching facilities in western Poland.

The factory will be able to turn out more than 600m3 of concrete a day and the complex will also include seven silos for different kinds of cement binders for producing concrete, and 10 bunkers for storing aggregates.

The facility includes a number of eco-friendly features – the silos are equipped with modern high-efficiency filters and the factory also recycles waste water.
