ELS scissor auction benefits air ambulance charity

Alfa Access, a UK distributor for ELS Lifts, has auctioned off a 5.5m electric scissor lift to help raise money for charity.

The access platform - an all-electric Junior 5.5 SP model featuring a Union Jack livery - was put up for offer at this year’s Vertikal Days event in Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, with 25% of the hammer price was earmarked for the winning bidder’s chosen charity.

OTS (Operator Training Services), a specialist working at height training provider, offered the highest bid at the auction and secured the ELS scissor lift. 

The Kent-based company is an accredited IPAF and PASMA training provider that was established in 2021 by Ray Whibley and Mike Tordoff.

After winning the auction, OTS founder Ray Whibley chose the Air Ambulance Trust as the charity that would receive the donation.
