BIMcert, a multinational group devoted to accelerating digital transformation in construction, is allowing vocational schools in Croatia to use its online learning platform for free, during the COVID-19 crisis.

The BIMcert project, led by Belfast Metropolitan College, responded to an appeal from the Croatian Agency for Vocational Education and Training, after all its schools had to switch to online training, due to the outbreak.

Toni Borkovic, a chartered architect based at the BIMcert project partner EIHP in Zagreb said he was delighted that his group was able to “answer the call” of the Croatian agency.

He explained that the “BIMcert project is providing a training and qualification scheme for the skills required to support the implementation of BIM (Building Information Modelling) across the construction supply chain. Training materials are developed to the EQF level 4 (RQF Level 3) and specifically target energy efficiency in the built environment through uptake of BIM and digital construction in 35 modules organised in 6 training plans.”

Further information on the training materials and qualifications available can be found on the BIMcert website.
